Re: POTO stuff on eBay
I'd say grab it! It's not a coffee table book, it's a brochure with a bound back. There are over 80 pages in total, with full cast list (albeit in Japanese), synopsis, background story, index of scenes, a VERY cool (albeit small) picture of the auction set, cool full-shots of costumes, wonderful Degas ballet girl pics and some pretty funky Final Lair pics. Plus, of course, the various other scenes. It also shows the Japanese costumes before they begun copying the US ones (which they do poorly, the earlier style is more ornamental). These pictures are from that brochure:Raphael wrote:Is that the coffee table book or something different? How valuable would you say it is to someone like me who likes a lot of costume and set reference?operafantomet wrote:I have that one. It's beautiful. And thick as a (slim) book. The sets aren't as featured, except maybe one or two scenes. But the cover more than makes up for it.

I grabbed it. Recently bought another japanese POTO brochure from this seller (my first one from Japan) and thought it would be nice to have another one
Re: POTO stuff on eBay
I just received two Japanese Les Mis brochures from this seller. They are in mint condition and stunning.

Interesting listing from a seller claiming to be selling actual makeup items that Paul Stanley used during his run as the Phantom in 1999. Also includes some postcards of Stanley in the role, a ticket stub, and a clear-top, velvet-lined carry and display case for it all.

Gach! I knew I should've done a thread search for it. Pleh.
I think there'd be more actual interest if perhaps some of the prosthetic deformities were included.

Yeah I can agree with you there. Just makeup and no part of the deformity is a bummer to true fans....be interesting to get an up close and personal look at the makeup and what kind it is, etc.

The limited edition poster included in that box set (I understood that correct, right?) on eBay, starting price is £40.00. Half of what the box costs... but still not an awesome deal.

Here are today's interesting ebay finds:
Cast-iron lamps from 1988 ; Music from Phantom (Signed by Michael Crawford)
I'm sure anybody who is willing to watch this would love to have the lanterns used in the boat. Not only that, I am very curious to know what that 'music' is. If its what I think it is, hrmmm. Tell me if any of you get it, shoot me a PM about the music.
Phantom of the Opera - Winter Garden Poster
Was Phantom originally going to be staged at the Winter Garden theatre?

Huh? Makes no sense. Cats was already well ensconced at the Winter Garden by the time Phantom came along...

I notice that the Winter Garden portion is cut off from the Phantom title itself. My guess; they're from two different posters entirely. The Winter Garden is probably the bottom portion of a Cats two-piece poster.
And as far as the alleged Phantom boat lanterns go? Really great, clear, large detailed photographs the seller's posted. *NOT!* :-/

Re: POTO stuff on eBay
Yeah. That Winter Garden is cut off from something else, possibly. I have a copy of that top poster part. If you enlarge the image of both posters together, in the upper right and left hand corners of the 'winter gardern' part, there's some what looks like writing, these two parts were never together:
As for that other auction. Huh? That image is so small I can't tell what the heck it's supposed to be, and what are they talking about the 'dvd's'? The tin looks like it's actually to a CD set of some sort.

LOL @ the lantern bit.
And, thanks for clearing up the Winter Garden thing. Thought something was odd. :/

Well, I'm thinking its a you-know-what. But ... it just might end up being the original cast album.

But, way overpriced. Has some nice photos attached to the auction, though
If you want one, get it here:
http://www.sanfranciscomusicbox.com/Phantom-and-Christine-Hinged-Trinket-Box
I knew this was coming...am surprised it's already available. There was supposed to be another one coming out, too (I thought). Had a waterglobe with the Phantom/Christine in the same position as this trinket box, but was attached to what looked like a very large picture frame--thingy with the shattered letter logo.

Unusual poster from San Francisco, at a good price. It's similar to the New York poster featuring the skyline, and there was a similar one pictured - i think for Mexico? - in the Behind The Mask documentary. Anyone know of any other mask-in-the-moon posters? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Phantom-Opera-POSTER-San-Francisco-/130592544629?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e67ec1775#ht_500wt_1135

You're selling them?? Why? I hope you get a good price for them.
A rude question, maybe, but would it be possible to use one or two of these pictures for the "Authentic Phantom costumes" gallery in the Anéa Facebook site?

To be honest, I really, really need the money. Plus they don't fit me. I wouldn't sell them if they fit me. But I know I can get a good price for them and I desperately need the cash.
Of course! Use as many as you like! I can get you higher-res photos if you'd like too.
