Souvenir brochures
I got some new Phantom brochures the other day - two that I've been looking for, and one I already had. But they came in a pack of three, and the price was fair. The brochures are:
West End January 1994, with Ethan Freeman, Jill Washington (Claire Moore) and Clive Carter
West End March 2005, with Earl Carpenter, Rachel Barrell (Celia Graham) and Oliver Thornton
Melbourne December 1997, with Rob Guest, Danielle Everett (Mia van der Eykel) and John Bowles
If anyone is lacking the March 2005 one, I'm open for a trade. I especially lack stuff from the World Tour and elder Broadway stuff, and also West End stuff from 1997-1999. I've put a complete list of my brochures online here:

Re: Souvenir brochures
If anyone wants to trade for a Hamburg brochure with Thomas Schulze and Colby Thomas (circa 1995-96) and/or a South African brochure, let me know.
Re: Souvenir brochures
I've got both the Hamburg and the South African but not for trade I'm afraid. I haven't collected any brochures for AGES. This is fun talking about this stuff again

Re: Souvenir brochures
Not much into trading since I like all my brochures and programmes but if anyone got any brochures of interest to sell, I would be interested in buying.

Sorry, I meant I wanted to get rid of mine rather than obtain them. ;-) EarlFan, you interested?

Is that the one with Graham posing with the apple?operafantomet wrote:

Rifling through my souvenir brochures, I have single spares of Karrie/DeGrazia/Rogers (Summer 1998), a Gray/Bibb/Buterbaugh (Feb 1991), and some D'Ambrosio/Vroman (Culliver)/Carl inserts from San Francisco (Nov 1998). If anyone's interested.

Re: Souvenir brochures
Random question: what brochure would have been available on the US tour in the summer/fall of 2003? I saw Brad/Lisa/TMG in San Francisco at the time but never even looked at the brochures because I had one from the SF sitdown in 1998 and I was unaware that brochures changed. (Give me a break, I hadn't gotten involved in the online fandom yet!) Now I'm wondering if I passed up a chance to have a brochure with Brad in it.

I have that brochure. Its pretty standard. It does have the costumed inserts.

Re: Souvenir brochures
No, that's from when she shared the role with Katie Knight-Adams (Rachel Barrell), from November 2006. That one was the first with the bouquet-of-roses with mask on top, while the March 2005 one has the golden angel in front. Celia Graham was alternate back then, but featured with this picture:Raphael wrote:Is that the one with Graham posing with the apple?operafantomet wrote:

The apple picture is way funkier! ( https://s638.photobucket.com/albums/uu101/potocostumes/aminta/ukgraham3.jpg if anyone is curious...)
That Karrie/de Grazia/Rogers brochure is definitely of interest.... And ditto for the other ones, he-he.

Re: Souvenir brochures
I just got my second Swedish brcohure/programme, and at a very cheap price so I'm very happy indeed

Ooooh, coolness! Which version?EarlFan wrote:I just got my second Swedish brcohure/programme, and at a very cheap price so I'm very happy indeed
Re: Souvenir brochures
This one is from 1994, the small version. And my other one is from 1989, big version.
Re: Souvenir brochures
Oh, it's the one with the gorgeous Inger Olsson Moberg "slavegirl" picture, and Johanne Brockmann in dressinggown and funky tiara, isn't it? I got to browse through Josefine's copy, and I really liked it. If it's that one, it's a great find. I've never seen it online. And to get it to a fair price as well!EarlFan wrote:This one is from 1994, the small version. And my other one is from 1989, big version.
Oh, and Per Engström looks so goofy in there, I seem to remember a fluffy hairdo...
Re: Souvenir brochures
Special edition of the original London brochure, a nice item to add to the collection.

Re: Souvenir brochures
That's one I've always wanted. The gold front and the "Sarah, Thank you, Andrew" writing is just gorgeous!
I assume the content of the brochure is the same as the white Crawford/Brightman one?

I think it is. It will be interesting to see the ending price on this one.operafantomet wrote:I assume the content of the brochure is the same as the white Crawford/Brightman one?
Re: Souvenir brochures
Thus far, I have 3. One is from the cast I saw – the US Tour in San Francisco with John Cudia, Trista Moldovan/Kelly Jeanne Grant, and Kyle Barisich.
The other two were items I found at a book sale for 10¢ each. One is from the original Toronto cast – Colm, Rebecca, and Byron in all their glory. The other is from the Canadian Tour and features Jeff Hyslop, Patti Cohenour, and David Rodgers. From this small start, I may have to begin a collection of my own!

Looking forward to a new London one hopefully coming out by Christmas with David Shannon in...

Re: Souvenir brochures
I don't have a lot, but I have the following:
Phantom Original London Cast
Phantom Original Broadway Cast
Phantom Original LA Cast (signed)
Phantom Original Toronto Cast (x2)
Phantom Red Cover Toronto Anniversary Cast
The last two I found for .10 cents at a Library Book Sale. I felt so pleased with myself. ^^;
Apparently some person from London likes to take their brochures and deposit them for me at the library. I've found other shows, too.

Re: Souvenir brochures
I've been emptying our big bookcase in our livingroom today. We are moving it to our quite big hallway to make that into a library. Anyway, doing it I realised how many souvenir brouchures I have. Loads. I was almost embarrassed just looking at them. Still there are quite a few editions missing... So I guess I need more...

Re: Souvenir brochures
A lovely souvenir brochure from the Japanese tour in 2001 arrived in the post today. That brings my total number of Japanese brochures of the ALW version up to two (also got a couple of Japanese Ken Hill ones). It's a nice one. Interestingly, there's a close-up pic of Christine's dressing room table and at least in that production they didn't stick photos on her mirror as they seem to be doing now in London! Though there are separate photos that are framed and standing beside the mirror on the table.
Anyone else have this so I check that I've understood the cast list correctly? It's the Oct-Dec 2001 brochure (white cover), and if I've got it right, then the Phantoms were Toshihide Mura and Osamu Takai, and the Christines were Eriko Murata, Yui Goto and Rumi Iryo.
Just noticed that the 'Wishing' picture seems to be a bit odd as she's completely missing her red scarf!

Re: Souvenir brochures
Must admit that with the multiple casting of the lead roles (and the lack of role names at the cast list, as far as I can tell) I've never quite figured out what the casts are for the different brochures. But at least I recognize the names you posted (except Goto) as being Phantoms and Christines... If that helps...Scorp wrote:Anyone else have this so I check that I've understood the cast list correctly? Thanks to a molto generous soul I now have some brochures I've been wanting for my collection. It just made me SO happy! The brochures I got, are:
1992 - Ciarán Sheehan - Glenda Balkan (Melissa Dye) - Christopher Shyer (Pantages Theatre, Toronto)
(basically the same as the Wilkinson/Caine one, but with different cast list in front)
June 2007 - Earl Carpenter - Leila Benn Harris/Robyn North - Michael Xavier (HMT, London)
Nov. 2007 - Ramin Karimloo - Leila Benn Harris/Robyn North - Alex Rathgeber (HMT, London)
(the latter might be my fav. cover ever! I know, it's very plain and all, but it just appeals so much to me... Black background, white mask, red rose, the semi-new metallic logo, a dash mist behind the logo, and the "21 years on the London stage" slogan on top. Mi gusto!)
1991 - Mikael Samuelson - Elisabeth Berg (Tua Åberg) - Bengt Nordfors (Oscarsteatern, Stockholm)
(A revised version of the one I already have, with a full cast list and also some new pics)
Thank you SOOOO much, you kind soul!

I don't like them, I LOVE them. Has been drooling over the London ones, lots of pictures I hadn't seen there. Again, thanks a lot!justin1976 wrote:You are more than welcome. I'm very happy that you like them.
Re: Souvenir brochures
Just got my 1995 Singapore program with Peter Karrie in the mail yesterday. It's a large size, and has a lot of features that the Canadian brochures had, just arranged a little differently. Still, a nice addition to my program collection
