Rare pictures 1

I thought I did but its a tiny pic in the brochure to begin with.

Does anybody have any pictures of Jill Washington? My family saw her a lot when they went to see Phantom (once with Dave Willetts, 1990 or so, again with Ethan Freeman, 1995 and again with Glyn Kerslake, 1998). I came along in 1996 and saw it in 2007 with Ramin Karimloo & Leila Benn Harris

And speaking of Glyn, are there any existing photos of him? I have a programme from his run with Jill, which my grandmother gave to me, but it had no pictures in it

Is this him? I found it on a google image search ages ago and cropped it for my desktop. Unfortunately can't find the site of origin now to get you the full pic.

I think that is Simon Bowman, though I'm not 100 percent certain.

Yes that's him, there is only one other in the brochure which is him and christine in the MOTN pose (with Jill Washington) I will post later if I can.

I think there is one floating around too with him and shona lindsay, (the big black and white poster at the defunct london theatre museum i believe was him and shona.

I can say I was not a fan and he ranked close to the bottom of my Phantom bucket, but still above Simon Bowman, and his mask just went uo way too far over the forehead and was distracting to look at onstage. But physically he was an imposing Phantom.

I've saved these as Glyn Kerslake (and Jill Washington)

Might very well be! I searched for "Glyn" in my computer, and posted what came up. Some stuff has been wrongly labelled and saved in the past.

Operafantomet, those images from the Markus Tylor book are FANTASTIC!! Thank you very much for posting them. It looks as though Peter Bishop was a lot smaller than MC...That mask doesn't fit his face well at all.

I have a request for anyone who's willing (or able) to help... Can any of you assist me in acquiring a high-quality scan of this magazine cover linked below? I really want to see it in full size. Since we now have Scott Davies as London Phantom once more (although for a short time) and it is unlikely new production photos will be done, here is a bunch of shots of him from his previous runs in London and the UK tour.

Hohohohohoho! I've been rambling through Josefine's Phantom memorabilia, or at least some of it. She has some amazing stuff! I'm seriously envious of her fully signed 1000 performances in Stockholm brochure. She also has a collection of newspaper articles from the 90s re: the Stockholm production, and I photographed a couple of the photos:


Mikael Samuelson and Inger Olsson Moberg, ca. 1994. Look closely at her facial expression. Hahaha!


Mikael Samuelson in mask, + removing the makeup/deformity for the last time. The latter theme is from closing night in 1995. Headline is "Last night with the Opera Phantom / The Phantom of the Opera".


LOVING the wedding dress bodice in that first picture! First two are (if I remember correctly) from closing night in 1995, the latter is an interview with two leading men in musicals, one being Mikael Samuelson as the Phantom.

Last thing Josefine said to me when I left was "You know, that was only some of the stuff I have...."

1. Renée Knapp in Aminta costume. I squeed when I found this one, because pictures of her are in general tiny and/or of the dressing gown. So nice to see a decent quality one of her in another costume.
2. Anna Maria Kaufmann and... Hartwig Rudolz? I love their appalled facial expressions.

I think both Mikael's and Inger's facial expressions are totally hilarious. I kinda wonder how that pic could ever be released to a newspaper. It was never in the broucures or anything. I've only ever seen it in that particular article.

I'd seen a very small, very low-res b&w cropped version of just Hugh's face before, but never the whole picture.

Did you get that one of the official PotO site? Last time I checked, every single Vegas photo they had in their gallery had the actors' names wrong

Japan always had the coolest merchandise and ads. Their current website is beautiful, and I really fancy these ads as well. All of the ones above are A4 sheets, glossy, with picture(s) on the front and info on the backside. I got these from... weren't these from you, Justin1976? Or Josefine? I'm embarrassed to admit I don't remember who sent them to me, but do know that I love them!
