In case y'all haven't seen it, much of the Markus Tylor one is available online through Google books:

Re: Rare pictures 1
Most of the pictures from "Alles über Das Phantom der Oper" were scanned by Loettchen last year, here:
https://desertedphans.forumotion.net/t2p405-rare-pictures
https://desertedphans.forumotion.net/t2p420-rare-pictures
But here's some more; some has been online already, some were stuff I hadn't seen before.

I have this Marcus Tylor book and LOVE IT! I'm friends with him on Facebook, he's a really nice person. So thankful and appreciative to anyone who has bought that book....it was a very memorable special time for anyone to have captured these pictures. :-)

Anyone who can help me out with these? ESPECIALLY Leo Andrew as André.
Operafantomet,
Try contacting Carolyn Kline through her website:

I think she has the brochure with Leo Andrew! I'm sure if she has time, she would scan a few pics for you. She's purchased some of my brochures I've put on Ebay and is a very nice person. :-)

Thank you for those pics! Loved especially that pic with the auditorium of Theater an der Wien.
Does the book happen to have more backstage pictures?

Re: Rare pictures 1
None that haven't been online, I think. Two or three more. I'll put them online later. Glad you liked the first batch by Loettchen and the second batch by me! I too loved that view of the auditorium, and if you look closer you'll see that the Lon Chaney dummy is in upper left corner. Nice little detail. I also loved the rehearsal one of Ethan Freeman and Claudia Dallinger.TheFinnishPhantom wrote:Does the book happen to have more backstage pictures?
Re: Rare pictures 1
A few more pictures from "Alles über Das Phantom der Oper" (if operafantomet doesn't mind )
Der Spiegel (The Mirror) scene:
The managers:
Don Juan Der Sieger:
Der letzte Schritt/Nun hinab ("Down once more...")
And some backstage photos:
Alexander Goebel and Luzia Nistler
Theater an der Wien
ALW, Michael Kunze and Peter Weck (the director of Theater an der Wien when Phantom was staged in Vienna)

Million thanks to you all, Loettchen, operafantomet and Klavirista!
Doesn't Goebel look like Steve Harley in that hairdo?

Re: Rare pictures 1
Does anyone have any decent pictures of the Phantom marquee at the Raimund Theater (not the Theater an der Wien) in Vienna? The only one I have is this, which I capped from the 25th anniversary segment from the Oliviers:
Also, in the Piers Morgan interview with ALW that was broadcast on television yesterday, I saw this picture for the first time ever, which is wonderful:
Once upon another time when all was well and good and happy and right in the world.
Compare and contrast...
Less successful times...

Hahaha... Judging from Sarah Brightman's hair, they're cut and paste into the staircase. But they DO look happy.Scorp wrote:https://2img.net/h/i177.photobucket.com/albums/w213/TheScorpionUK/vlcsnap-2011-04-10-20h32m28s51.png

I'll have a look in my Viennese folder and see what I find re: the facade. Klavirista, thanks for posting that batch from the Viennese book. Very nice scans, that is!

Bah, you're right! Can't believe I didn't spot that. But I don't think I've seen the original picture that came from either. Interested to see if anyone can dig it out.
Re: Rare pictures 1
Thanks for posting Raimund Theater photo, Scorp!
It's strange that some pictures of the theater doesn't appear in Vienna Raimund's POTO program. At least they could print the one...
Have anyone noticed that Goebel wears his Phantom ring on the ring finger, not the little finger, as other Phantoms do?

I think I might have the original source of that Crawford/Brightman/Lloyd Webber pic.Scorp wrote:

Years ago, I bought an OLC souvenir brochure, and with it came a bunch of press clippings from the show from around preview time. One of the articles includes that same pic (opera staircase and all) from the Daily Mail dated 25 September 1986. The picture posted above cuts off Crawford's feet, which to me are a tell-tale sign of photo-manipulation since his feet aren't properly aligned with the steps. Due to the age of the clipping and poor quality of the newsprint, you can't readily see the trim-lines around Sarah's hair as you can in the brightened pic above.
There are several photos of the three taken together in various articles, so perhaps they're all from the same photo shoot.

Clearly, any body mass around her waist merely got shoved upstairs.operafantomet wrote:
Colby Thomas, queen of narrow waist! OK, so the tailoring of the early Hamburg costumes is in a class of its own. But still.... That IS one narrow waist.

Speaking of Colby Thomas
I know, her wig looks almost blonde in those last two photos. It's merely the light.
Re: Rare pictures 1
Wow, the Countess dress looks gorgeous in that third photo! One of the best shots I think I've ever seen of it!

I think I have of all of them, but I need a brochure or two to compare the pics in my file with their headshot. in the mean time, here is a not-too-good-quality one of Alasdair Harvey.stagehand wrote:does anyone have pictures of silvia krüger (u/s christine in hamburg), lori broderick (alternate christine in hamburg),
