I probably have that... But give me some clues. Which Phantoms did she perform opposite? And any particular scenes?

Ug, I really dont know what they were thinking with Ron and Brad Little's masks. So huge, So awkward and terrible looking. If it were me I would have tamen a scissors to them right away.

Re: Rare pictures 1
I'd never seen that second one of Ron and Sandra before. Very nice. I really like black and white production shots. Often, the colors are too saturated in full-color photos, and the b&w reminds me of the classic shots from the early Broadway Playbills I had as a kid.
So I guess she did perform with O'Leary toward the end of his run (I think he was there from '96 when Gaines left to '98).

I asked about this on the other board too, but I'm hoping I'll have more luck here.
Does anyone have any pictures (that operafantomet doesn't already have on her site) of Meg's Gypsy (US preferably, other countries cool too) costume? I'd settle for anything at all, even if it's just peeking out from being wedged between other costumes or super awesome close ups (which I'm pretty sure don't exist, but I figured I'd throw it out there anyway.)

you are. Joseph's first broadway performance was 1/29/98, during O'Leary's run. O'Leary stayed on another year.

Re: Rare pictures 1
Yeah, I'm starting to remember that now. For some reason, I thought O'Leary left in '98 and that Joseph didn't come on 'til '99 or '00. But then I couldn't remember who would have filled in between O'Leary and Hugh, who I know didn't start 'til '99.ravnquest1 wrote:SenorSwanky wrote:Yeah, they met in the 2NT. Woohoo! This is my first post!
From what I've seen, the eyebrow indention is never exactly the same on any London-era MC mask. The first few have it, but its shape varies from mask to mask. The mark is definitely intentional, though. I think it was most likely added after the original sculpture had been molded and the blanks already formed. It would be easy to re-heat each blank and press that shape by hand, anyway.
Also, here's a couple close-ups of that promotional MC Phantom photograph operafantomet posted above...My scanner's not working, so I had to snap a few pics with my digital camera instead. You can see many chips in the paint, random pin holes, and plenty of stage-wear in the full size 8x10 shot. Whenever the scanner is available, I'll post an extremely high quality version:
Cheers,
AF
justin-from-barbados wrote:Ok, so in that pic above. Does anyone know whats up with that eyebrow?
I've never been able to figure it out. Is it a dent or a raised bit?
It is only seen in Crawford's London mask, not the Broadway or LA ones.
It looks rather odd to me because it isn't in the middle of the brow where it would make more sense to be.
Surely it is not something that was damaged, although it looks more to me like it got bumped on something and flattened.

This pic is from an LA Brochure. This is an odd request, but I'm looking for the names of these ballerinas and was wondering if they're labeled in the brochure. If anyone has it.

Re: Rare pictures 1
The brochure doesn't say who anyone are in the pictures, but it does include a cast list (without headshots for the ensemble). These were the original Los Angeles ballet girls:Callie Daae wrote:This pic is from an LA Brochure. Irene Cho (Dance captain/ballet swing)
Leslie Noriko Beadles (Ballet chorus)
Madelyn Berdes (Ballet chorus)
Rebeca Gorostiza (Ballet chorus)
Mary Alyce Laubacher (Ballet chorus)
Sylvia Rico (Ballet chorus)
Kate Solmssen (Ballet chorus)
ETA. I always found that picture funny. Before I saw a larger version of it, the head of the nearest sitting ballet girl appeared to be floating in mid-air. But then I realized the back and right arm belongs to the "floating head" and not the one we see in profile. The cleavage and left arm, on the other hand, belongs to the other girl. Quite an overlapping there!
Re: Rare pictures 1
the bottom right ballerina is Madelyn Berdes, she dated Michael Crawford while he was in LA, she was also in the commercial for Michaels album, she was walking around in the Christine Robe, behind curtains,
I will have to look who the other ones are

It' too bad that there aren't more fedora photos. I actually really prefer that classic shot... That overall look is so iconic and intriguing.

Re: Rare pictures 1
It is very cool indeed, they had dated on and off in LA during his two runs in LA,
He dated a lot of dancers, because they like him were very rigid in their disiplined, the dancers kept their bodies in peak performance so did Michael, Michael did pilates to keep in shape, and as we know was at the theatre very early his mind was allways on the task at hand his performance

No, it isn't just you - I think it looks like Patti too. But I haven't really memorised what Dale looks like so I'm not sure how accurate that is... It's just one of those pictures that, when I first look at it, I think "Is that Patti?"

Re: Rare pictures 1
To me it looks more like Dale Kristien. There's something about the solid bone structure of the face... On the other hand, I've only seen a handful pictures of both ladies, so it might be what I'm used to looking at and who I "know" the pictures are of... The bodice also correspond with what Sarah Brightman wore on Broadway (very short, without the tabs continuing over the skirt). So who knows.Callie Daae wrote:Is it just me, or does this look more like Patti Cohenour than Dale?

Did the picture come from a brochure originally? I remember someone posted it in one of the old POTO forums, saying it was Dale Kristien. But I forgot to ask where it originated from. Anyone knows? It's not in the LA brochure, I can tell that much. But it's not from the original Broadway brochure either.
Re: Rare pictures 1
That's definitely Cohenour, not Kristien, so it's probably from Broadway, not LA.
Re: Rare pictures 1
it is for sure Patti Cohenour

Re: Rare pictures 1
Going through this thread after having not been here for nearly six months has been like Christmas coming early!
I hate to show up and immediately throw a request out, but does anybody have a bigger/better quality version of this picture?
(It's Christina Tan in Australia in the early to mid-'90s, if that helps.)
