Re: Las Vegas Production
Sounds like a cool event. I hope they take a picture of the auditorium, with everyone wearing a mask! I agree that they could have told us about it earlier, but it's probably not meant as a general fan gathering, just a PR stunt.
Re: Las Vegas Production
Here's an article about the upcoming event. Even Hal Prince won't be able to make it on such short notice!:

Re: Las Vegas Production
4 years - amazing! Congrats to the Vegas production, especially those who has been with the production from the start.
The Phantom Vegas FB site has some cool pictures up, although the photos of all audience members with mask are too small to really see they're wearing masks...

Re: Las Vegas Production
Some attendees of last night's anniversary show are starting to post photos of themselves in their masks. Look like the ones you can pick up in a Halloween shop. I was half-expecting ones of better quality

Finally saw the Vegas Production! I Went the 6th & the 7th! Got to go on the VIP tour on the 6th thanks to Brianne! *Thanks again Brianne!* And went on another backstage tour that Sarah Combs was so sweet to invite me on with her family and Brianne on the 7th! I had the most unforgettable time.
the 6th: Michael Lackey as the Phantom & Kristi Holden
The 7th: Anthony Crivello & Sarah Elizabeth Combs as Christine
Both nights were truly unforgettable, I felt like I was on a cloud the whole time. The whole cast was amazing both nights & I got to meet most of the principals (who were all so sweet!).

Yes, congratulations on getting to go see the best show on the Strip. We will be going to see the show on August 16 for the third time! We talked our daughter out of going to Disney World to go see Phantom. Is that wrong? Should we not have done that?
Front row, too!

And Callie Daae, I'm so glad you had such lovely experiences, with so different casts. Did you see different Carlottas as well?

Brianne is there any way to know if there are going to be any casting changes for August 16? I know that's a bit of a ways out there I've talked up Anthony and Kristi a lot to my daughter you see...

Re: Las Vegas Production
Haven't seen any mention of this benefit concert some members of Phantom Las Vegas are doing for Golden Rainbow anywhere yet, so I figured I'd post it here:

Re: Las Vegas Production
It would pain me to watch that buffoon ordinarily, but I suppose I could Tivo it. If Michael Crawford went on Rush Limbaugh, I'd listen in for the first time.
Re: Las Vegas Production
Yeah, this is quite the dilemma. If I want to see the Vegas cast, I have to give this guy's show ratings. Blech! I suppose this is what YouTube is for :pSenorSwanky wrote:It would pain me to watch that buffoon ordinarily, but I suppose I could Tivo it. Re: Las Vegas Production
Well, I Tivo'd and watched, trying to fast forward through Huck's own blather as much as possible. Not the best performance from Anthony I've seen, but it was cool seeing the makeup in such detail.
Re: Las Vegas Production
I was hoping to hear Kristi sing as well.

Re: Las Vegas Production
Does anyone know if they are still offering the Student Rush prices for the show? I saw it in May and they said that it would discontinued a few days later. I'm hopefully seeing the show next Saturday. I have to talk a few people into seeing it. They really want to see a show while we are there, since they never been. And i keep telling them its the best show on the strip! hahah

Re: Las Vegas Production
I'm not sure, PhantomofPhoenix - I hadn't even realized they offered Student Rush tickets at the Vegas production. You could always try calling the box office and ask if you don't get a definitive yes or no here in time.
Enjoy the show!

Re: Las Vegas Production
Yeah, it a pretty good rate of only $35 for the Balacony. I got to see the show twice that weekend because the price was so amazing.

So I wasn't able to make it to the show, but I was able to talk to a really nice lady in the gift shop. I did notice that the shop was lacking some items and everything was being discontinued. So I asked her what was going on, maybe new items were coming, but they are closing the gift shop. They are moving to a little tiny kiosk in the lobby. Anyways, just thought I would share.

I too noticed a lack of merchandise at the show last night. Thats such a shame.

OK, then I must as openly in the forum:PhantomofPhoenix wrote:So I wasn't able to make it to the show, but I was able to talk to a really nice lady in the gift shop. I have heard, from three different sources (neither connected with the Vegas production, but all related to Phantom) that Phantom might be closing in Vegas soon. I though the production was doing very well, and for all I know the rumours might be bogus. But what's up with this rumour? Are there anything to it? Is it something the producers are considering, but which might not happen after all? Or is it just bullshit?
I want, more than anything, to go to Vegas and see Phantom there. But it won't happen this year (it would if that phan week hadn't been cancelled, grrrrr). And if there are plans of closing in Vegas, I must get my arse over there ASAP!

Las Vegas Phantom IS NOT closing. The "Phantom shop" is the only thing that is closing. Like it's been said, the shop will still have a kiosk in the lobby with limited merchandise. We've been having great crowds that exceeded summer expectations, so we'll be here for a while longer.
