I'd love to own it too. mainly because Glyn was my first Phantom, and a few years later became my singing teacher! But its far too expensive.

Oooh, tell me about Glyn's performance! I missed the chance to see his Phantom but I like his voice.

Well its hard to remember alot because although i saw him twice(Oct 98/Mar 99-his last matinee) it was along time ago and i've seen a few phantoms since then. I do remember him being very good though. I know there was a few people back then who weren't fans of his phantom. He has got a very nice voice, probably not as powerful as i like the phantom to be but still very good. I think the only thing i found a bit strange about his performance was how he waved his arms around during the kiss.

She had actually forgotten about it apparently. It had been sitting in her cellar all this time!

Re: POTO stuff on eBay
Question I have for anyone who may happen to have it... I bought one of the limited edition Phantom rings from Swarovski when the '04 movie came out. In the last few years I've unfortunately nicked it a few times and have a two chips in the main stone on the top. Also, the ring itself has been scratched up. I've considered sending it in for repair for a long time, but read in the little booklet that came with it, that if they cannot fix it, they will send you something else of equal value. I DO NOT want that to happen. I'd rather keep the messed up ring. So... to get to the point, does anyone else have the ring and have they had to send it in for repair? If so, what was your experience with Swarovski's repair services?

Damn it, one of those German ones I've been wanting for a while, I've heard it's quite good (the big oversized one). I'll have to ask the seller if (s)he can relist. (EDIT: double damn it, someone else just bought it).
I want the Peter Cousens one because I loved his Phantom when I saw him in 1997, but that it is far too expensive a price for one of those old white brochures.

There were a couple other German ones. Which one were you looking at? Take it granted, my German is limited, so I was just puttng in keywords. (But you're fluent, so you'd probably know what to search on your own.) A lot of those brochures are too much. There is one someone is selling of a tour cast (that I got for free, once) for 30! Excuse me? People practically give them away nowadays.

Oh, this is disgusting:
Early ProtoType Phantom Costume
I can't believe that THAT could have been what the Phantom was wearing. Who in the world thought the Phantom should run around dressed as a pirate. :/ Unless that was the early Don Juan costume. But they would have said so.
They're buttf*cking ugly. They look like something you'd see in Coney Island.

It's not just a pirate-esque costume...it's a very uninspired cliche one at that. And I don't even remember it from the first two RUG auctions.
A few years ago, a friend talked me into going to a Halloween party at the gay bar near my house. One guy was dressed as Wesley/The Man In Black/Dread Pirate Roberts from The Princess Bride...except with frills and I swear this is just like his costume.

Hehe, I'm not a fan of them either, but to be fair there were some gorgeous pieces there too. I loved Christine's wedding dress, and Carlotta's Hannibal dress was also funky. I agree thought that a lot of them has popped up on eBay after the initial auction. Maybe somehone bought them, hoping their value would increase?

I didn't think they ever did. From what I'm gathering from those pictures, there are two different costumes grouped together. If someone buys that, they're getting jipped.

Re: POTO stuff on eBay
I'm wondering if the Rubies tag is on the inside of the wig. Zoomed in the pic kind of looks like the netting inside a wig. I do not remember any of those costumes coming with wigs when they were first auctioned off. The owner had originally wanted to have these costumes put on some sort of tour and perhaps added the wigs on their own for the mannequins they were using.
Just my thoughts.
I hate the Phantom costumes but think some of the gowns are lovely. I still prefer the Bjornson designs though.

The shirt is the exact same one as what Loettchen linked to though. It seems more likely to be the shirt than the wig, since the shirt looks like it's made of the net-like material.

Someone is trying to sell a used ticket, from the UK tour in 1995. They're seriously expecting someone to pay £6.00 for an old ticket???

Look like it's the same. The price gone up a bit but it's still pretty cheap, will be interesting to see what the final price will be.

I would not pay £6.00 for that for sure. You must be a serious ticket-collector if you're prepared to pay that price.
