Re: Raphael's Phantoons of the Opera
Is it just me or does ALW look a bit like the bad guy in Casino Royale? And whoa, Christine actually looked like she did a kiss attack for a second! Nicely done.
ETA: At :20, am I seeing things...or does Raoul actually get the shirt knocked off of him? Also, I'm still impressed that you managed to find Christine's, ahem, "off-hand weapon" in this game...
I'm looking forward to this!

Re: Raphael's Phantoons of the Opera
You really did an amazing job with customizing the characters - their costumes and their weapons/attacks even seem well-matched with their 'real life' personas. Also, such brilliant fighter names.
This will be so much fun!

Re: Raphael's Phantoons of the Opera
The only drawback of the customization system is that you don't get a lot of selection when it comes to faces and hair. That's about as close as I could get for ALW (couldn't find anything suitable for CamMac so he doesn't appear at all)LadyCDaae wrote:Is it just me or does ALW look a bit like the bad guy in Casino Royale? And I think Christine's attack in question is more of a "bury opponent's head in her cleavage and then them 'em down to the floor" -- it's the dirty Aminta in her
Yup, a few of the characters get their clothes knocked off them in the video. Raoul does twice (he'll use any excuse to get his shirt off).ETA: At :20, am I seeing things...or does Raoul actually get the shirt knocked off of him?

Well, "creepy, dough-faced gnome" isn't a very popular physique when it comes to fighting games. Under the circumstances, I'd say you managed very well.

That probably ranks above kissing on "Things That Make the Phantom's Brain Short-Circuit"....

The voice customization system was pretty buggy too. Not to mention you couldn't give them accents. Can't have everything, I guessLadyCDaae wrote:Well, "creepy, dough-faced gnome" isn't a very popular physique when it comes to fighting games. Under the circumstances, I'd say you managed very well.
Yeah, I think he wound up losing that match...That probably ranks above kissing on "Things That Make the Phantom's Brain Short-Circuit"....

New project: come up with names and/or recipes for PotO-related mixed drinks.

Re: Raphael's Phantoons of the Opera
So I have a question: I'm looking at the trailer again and it appears that everyone fights at least two different people, including the characters who've already lost their tournament matches. Are you doing double elimination, or are we going to see some "undercard" bouts between characters knocked out of tournament play? (Really, I'm just looking for more opportunities to watch Schumacher get beat up.)

No, it's direct elimination. I just filmed multiple matches to prevent spoilersLadyCDaae wrote:So I have a question: I'm looking at the trailer again and it appears that everyone fights at least two different people, including the characters who've already lost their tournament matches. Well, that was diabolical of you! If I throw money at you, will we get to see some highlights from those other matches? Some of them looked rather interesting...

I love that Meg does that...anime V-salute thingy (I'm sure there's a proper Japanese term for it, but I'll be danged if I know what it is). And that the story's officially designated redshirt has angel wings.
