Re: Souvenir brochures
I was browsing Ebay Germany and found the Canadian Phantom brochure with Paul Stanley (including the fold out poster). For those of you interested, here is the link. They ship to the USA as well.

Re: Souvenir brochures
Ditto for the similar brochure and poster with Rene Simard as the Phantom. Even reasonably priced compared to others I've seen; starting offer US $14.99, buy it now US $17.99:

I saw this listing as well and would go for it but alas, no funds available for my sticky fingers right now...haha, but I hope someone grabs it up!!
Re: Souvenir brochures
Agreed, it's a good deal, just a bad timing for me... Haha, glad to hear I'm not alone.
I was to buy another brochure the other day, one I really wanted. I was happy to see the seller accepted PayPal AND shipped worldwide. But when I went to buy it, I was told I couldn't buy it because I lived in Norway. When I checked up the "Shipping worldwide" listing, there turned out to be some exceptions to the rule:
Excludes: Africa, Central America and Caribbean, Middle East, South America, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Nepal, Japan, Korea, South, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan Republic, Pakistan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Armenia, Russian Federation, Macedonia, Malta, Iceland, Norway, Romania, Cyprus, San Marino, Greece, Hungary, Andorra, Luxembourg, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Guernsey, Gibraltar, Croatia, Republic of, Estonia, Belarus, Latvia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lithuania, Montenegro, Albania, Portugal, Jersey, Liechtenstein, Serbia, Ukraine, Slovenia, Monaco, Denmark, Vatican City State, Finland, Bulgaria, Sweden, Slovakia, Moldova, Czech Republic, Bermuda, Mexico, Greenland, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Guam, Vanuatu, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Niue, Tonga, Tuvalu, Solomon Islands, French Polynesia, Western Samoa, New Caledonia, Palau, Marshall Islands, American Samoa, Wallis and Futuna, Micronesia, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Cook Islands, Vietnam, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Taiwan, Philippines, Macau, Thailand
How is THAT shipping worldwide???

Nope, you are not alone...with the holidays vastly approaching my funds have been depleted...lol
That stinks. Talk about false advertising and a huge letdown I'm sure! I had that happen to me. Something crappy that happened not too long ago was regarding a brochure from a seller in England. I messaged them and asked if they would ship to the USA. They said nope. So okay that's fine...but then I noticed that this seller re-listed the item and there was a bid on it. I let it go because I figured it was someone in the UK. NOPE. Here the person who bid and won on the brochure was from the United States. Grrrrr.......
Re: Souvenir brochures
Lovely 1998 Japanese brochure on eBay, currently US $22.99. I would snatch it if I didn't have it. It has a bound rather than a stapled back, and many large, glossy photos. The cover is also lovely, much nicer than the eBay picture shows. The cast includes, I think, Toshihide Mura and Rumi Iryo.

I saw this! Gorgeous cover!! Didn't you say the 1997 10 year anniversary one has the same pictures as the 1998 one? That's actually why I was not considering buying it.....
Re: Souvenir brochures
I don't remember what I said. It's probably a page or two back, and I'm too lazy to look it up... But I don't think it was THAT cover? Wasn't it the 1998/1999 ones with the classic mask logo?Devon wrote:I saw this! Gorgeous cover!! Didn't you say the 1997 10 year anniversary one has the same pictures as the 1998 one? Looks as though someone has already snagged it up anyway. :-)

Yeah that's a nice one, worth getting, as are all of the Shiki ones to be honest.
Canadian Brochure on Ebay
For anyone who is looking to collect the Pantages (Canada) Theater Phantom brochures, this is very reasonably priced. I'm afraid they only ship within the USA though:

Re: Souvenir brochures
I got a playbill from Sweden in the mail today. I've been wanting one for ages, for more info on cast and credits. The one I got is with Mikael Samuelson as the Phantom, Inger Olsson Moberg/Johanne Brochmann as Christine and Jan Kyhle as Raoul. From what I can tell it's from September 1994.
It has a couple of pictures, but nothing that hasn't been scanned before - except one of Mikael Samuelson in the grand staircase of Palais Garnier in Paris, which he visited in the spring of 1994.
There's also an interesting commercial for the company AGA, where they explain how the dry ice used in Phantom works. And a picture of an oh-so-young Per Engström (conductor)!

Phantom in Brazil
Is there anyone out there in Deserted Phans who is from or lives in Brazil? I need some assistance, thanks! :-)
German Phantom brochures
I just saw a listing on Ebay Germany for two German brochures, one is from Essen and the other Stuttgart. I have both these brochures and they are wonderful! Just thought I'd pass this link along:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Phantom-Oper-Bildband-/130623611786?pt=Fanartikel_Kleinartikel&hash=item1e69c6238a#ht_500wt_1202

Re: Souvenir brochures
The Stuttgart brochure with Ian Jon Bourg and Janine Kitzen is on German eBay. PayPal AND worldwide shipping!
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Phantom-Oper-Stuttgart-2002-TOP-/360422538756?pt=Sach_Fachbücher&hash=item53eadb7e04#ht_500wt_885
Current price is 10 euros. The Stuttgart one is quite cool. It's the most artistic one made in Germany - artistic in the sense of many pictures being "in action", slightly blurry and with unusual motifs. It's not my favourite from Germany, but it's worth owning.

2006 West End brochure and programme (playbill), currently five pounds. The Phantom was Earl Carpenter, Christines were Rachel Barrell or Celia Graham + Katie Knight Adams, Raoul either David Shannon or Michael Xavier. AcceptsPayPal and ships worldwide:

Current South African Brochure
Hey, just dropping in to see if anyone on the board is planning on going to see Phantom in South Africa? If so, I was wondering if they could pick me up a souvenir brochure, then I could pay for it via PayPal?
Thanks a bunch!

Hi people,
I've been searching for the Hamburg brochures for a while, and I'm most desperate for the famous Colby Thomas/Thomas Schulze one that looks like this (borrowed from operafantomet's website):
I've been offered a brochure just like this, but I don't know the exact cast. So I was wondering, is there only one brochure like this?

Re: Souvenir brochures
There's two of this brochure, sorta. One with signatures on the cover, one without. But the content is the same. The cast is Thomas Schulze, Colby Thomas and Björn Olsson. The photos within are gorgeous, it's one of my all-time favourite brochures. It's quite common on German eBay, though, so don't pay too much.thephanfullerton wrote:Hi people,

There was a separate programme (playbill) for this brochure, and it's not always included. I'm sure several of the cast members changed, but for at least 3-4 years the leads were the ones listed above.
Searching for brochures
Hello hello!
I am posting quick to see if anyone out here in the forum has any international Phantom souvenir brochures they are willing to sell?
If so, "pm" me. Thanks!

Where are you finding the Swedish playbills and brochures?!!! Arrrghh....LOL
Re: Souvenir brochures
I got them from very random places. My first brochure was sent me from a member on musikal.net. Some years after a member her sent me another one. And the program/playbill was found through a Swedish "antiquarian" (rare/used book shop), who had a listing of old theatre brochures:Devon wrote:Where are you finding the Swedish playbills and brochures?!!! Arrrghh....LOL
http://www.abm.se/leopolds/Oscars.Teatern.html
I didn't know if the listing was a brochure or program/playbill, but I didn't care cause I knew I didn't have any with that cast in my collection. And I was actually quite happy about it being a program/playbill.
My next ones will come from phantomlove's large collection. I'll grab a bunch of them next time I visit her, along with some of her costumes. She won't notice a thing.

Re: Souvenir brochures
I've been wondering if there won't be a new program for Broadway for the 10,000th. They're long overdue for one. They issued a new program for the record-breaking show in 2006 so now would be a good time...plus they did that nice photo-shoot when Trista joined the production.
One can hope!

A 4-page 10,000 special is supposedly included in this Playbill. Anyone who's seen it?
