Act two is also up. Seems somewhat darker than the first act, so maybe not as epic. And no WYWSHA. But there are some fantastic PONR and Final Lair photos in there, and Masquerade ain't shabby either.

As for Trista Moldovan's Elissa skirt, I agree. I found it underwhelming overall. Isn't it the same Trista Moldovan used in the US tour? It reminds a lot of it. The apron and hem is very nice, but the backdrape don't seem to well integrated, and the main skirt fabric is kinda... sad. I think there's some patterning going on, but on stage it comes off as smooth satin.

Michele McConnell's Elissa costume, on the other hand, is perfection!

I asked about that a while back and there does not seem to be any, not official ones anyways. But still have not seen any backstage or dressing room shots either. The closest thing would be when they dressed her up in the white robe and took that vid that is projected at the begining of LND, something that really bothered me about the DVD, they did not show you that the photo moves.

I like the shot of the Christine/Carlotta confrontation (alliteration ahoy!) from Notes 2--it's such a wonderful character moment, and one I haven't seen photographed very often.

At a loose end this afternoon, I cleaned up the boat shot of Peter Joback and Sofia Escobar from the new West End brochure:

Some of the tour costumes are good. The fops in Il Muto, MOST of Christine's costume's, the Elissa costumes - they're all true to the sources. Others are simplified, but without changing key elements. The Hannibal slavegirls, for example. But a big chunk has been either replaced (the "sheets" in the Il Muto ballet, Carlotta's Countess costume) or - and I still mean this - butchered: Masquerade, blerugh. Carlotta's Managers dresses, bleurgh.

What greatly annoys me is that some people say "But this is a NEW tour, of course there are changes". I don't oppose changes! I oppose selling the modified and/or butchered costumes as Maria Bjørnson's design. It's not what she designed, and if they're slapping her name on the poster, it IS a source of annoyment, no matter how "new" this tour is.

I think it's the lighting more than anything.

I found these two original london cast pictures (with claire moore) in an old magazine and scanned them. maybe they are not rare but at least i haven´t seen them before in such big size

I haven;t seen the last one, kind of rare to find odd pics with Savident's Fermin. Perhaps him not wearing his jacket was his way of trying to 'stand out' as was mentioned earlier.

I don't think she minds them being spread. She seems to enjoy sharing tidbits from her life backstage. Just mention that you got them from her Twitter account (which is open to everybody).
