If only...Ideal Merchandise for ALW's Phantom
Hello again! Back from a long absence, and full of the Phantom spirit just in time for Christmas. As this is the season of gifts, I was just thinking -Imagine if Phantom had the crazy merchandising and marketing money poured into it like Disney's Frozen/Tangled. What would there be? What would we all slaver over?
I'm starting off with my top two:
1)Outfits.Seriously. Don't have to be the £20,000 real West End deal (wistful sigh) but if the Really Useful Group made even slightly official 'costume themed' clothing - or accessories like the awesome talented Viscountess' casual designs and bows over at Tumblr, [url=http://viscountess.tumblr.com/], I think they'd be making a heck more than they do on the black t-shirts saying "Prima Donna". Adults, kids (and I'm betting there would be thousands of little girls who'd love simplified masquerade and Degas ballet outfits) - damn it, even a red scarf to throw artistically round your shoulderswhilst walking through shadowy graveyards Oh, the possibilities...
Since Disney is now doing those 'designer wedding gowns based on princess dresses, how about a wedding dress based on your favourite ensemble? An Elissa gown done in white could look very nice...
2)Dollies! Technically this one's already been done, as they did that special edition Barbie and Ken back in the 1990s. But I'm going to go all out on the dream wagon and demand a Christine where you can collect all the outfits Can you imagine hunting for Aminta/Star Princess to complete your collection? A talking Erik with a hundred threatening monologues/soft arias could be optional, alongside Raoul. And the inner five-year old in me would really like a 'Mega Lair Playset' - light up 'candelabras', pull a lever for an instant magnetic portcullis - and heck, to make up for all those remote control carsand very pink princess carriages, why not a remote control wheeled gondola for your Phantom and Christine to use?
Anyone else have any other suggestions? What would you want?
3)The designer wedding deal.

We had a similar thread for this quite a way back - it's here: https://desertedphans.forumotion.net/t111-merchandise-suggestions
Reading it now, I am still keen for my wishlist to be realised. They did bring back the calendars but I don't think anything else on there has been done yet...oh, well I suppose the Albert Hall CD answers my 25th anniversary recording request...although given that I thought little of that production I hardly listen to it! Oh well, here's hoping for another one years from now that is better produced and has a cast more to my liking...
