Phantom Phan Documentary - created by Phans in 2000
Hi folks,
In the event that anyone may be even remotely interested, I'm in the process of uploading segments of a documentary created by a group of Phans back in 2000. Basically, there was a group of us from a Phantom board of an earlier incarnation who thought it might be a fun project to capture the 'life and adventures' of a Phantom Phan. The video ended up being fairly long, and contains phan interviews, road trips to see various productions, phan gatherings, and significant 'Phantom' places. As it's uploaded from a rather old VHS the quality can get dodgy at times, but this was before the digital era so we worked with what we had. This was undertaken for the most part to preserve the 'Phan' moments in our lives, not so much for mass consumption, but I think most Phans can relate to the general vibe of it... so I thought it might be worth sharing. Please note, it was largely unscripted and created by fairly sleep deprived university students, so take that for what you will!
As an introduction (and fully realizing how ridiculous we look in this!) here's the 'music video' opening segment we created:

Or, if you prefer, Jeff posted a 'pop-up video' version to his YouTube account:

So, as I said, it's not a big budget blockbuster but it kept us entertained so please feel free to follow along if you're so inclined

He-he, I've seen these vids before, and I love them. Waiting impatiently for more!

Yay! So glad to hear other people find them entertaining
I've uploaded up to part 13 now.... still have quite a few left to go!

PS - My apologies for how much filming was actually done in a car. It's a long way to... well... everything from where I lived at the time!

I've finally finished posting the entire thing. This was quite a long project! I ended up editing it into 34 bite sized segments, for easier digestion. Some of the bits are admittedly little inside jokes, but I tried to make that clear in the description for each segment. I'm certain not everyone wants to hear 'Albuquerque' as interpreted by Angel, Crys, Georgia and myself
Not claiming it's a magnificent work of art, but it's done and it starts here if anyone wants to see it:
