Phantom of the Opera On Ice?
Hi all! So a while ago I found the soundtrack from this version on the iTunes store. And I absolutely love it! It's not as mythic - as rich in depth and symbolism - as the ALW, in that the lyric-writing is more straight-forward and less poetic. But the music is awesome! It's this whacky blend of 80s pop/rock cheese and epic orchestration! But, as yet, I've been able to find very little information about it. I've found a listing on Spotify and what looks like the DVD available on Amazon. But, in terms of actual info about the production all I've found so far is the following:
http://marbellamarbella.es/2011-12-09/the-phantom-of-the-opera-on-ice-by-roberto-danova/
Anyway, the music's by a guy named Roberto Danova, and was performed by the Northern Lights Symphony. It was performed physically by the Russian Ice Dancers, with singers (Victor Michael as Erik/the Phantom and Sue Quin as Christine among others). So any info anyone has about this version would be utterly awesome! In particular, I'd love to find a detailed plot-summary, as I think the songs are performed out of order on the soundtrack so its unclear what parts of the story they represent. And it seems it takes a somewhat different approach to the story from the ALW, although it's hard to tell from just the music. So can't tell if it's close to Leroux or not either. And, evidently, it doesn't have its own Wikipedia page! It's listed on the Wikipedia page that lists all the known versions of POTO, but it doesn't have a page of its own.
Anyway, has anyone seen this or know anything more? :-) Thanks!

Re: Phantom of the Opera On Ice?
:-) Thought I'd share a few YouTube clips I was able to find of it too. You see/hear what I mean about the combination of cheese and epic?
This first one's from the Masquerade sequence https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbLUwNP-zLo
This one's Victor Michael, the chap who sings Erik, singing a song called Angel of Music - though it has nothing to do with the song of the same name in ALW! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9qEp8qzTfg
And this song's called "Mr. Midnight", and I have no idea what character or scene it's supposed to be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7swKgJrIxU
I think this guy singing is supposed to be Raoul, but don't quote me on that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGa3dnKFK6s
:-) And this is another one of Victor Michael as Erik! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1lSNvDV5RQ
Haven't found any clips of Sue Quin singing Christine yet. Though, I don't like her voice as I find it too pop.
Anyway, thought I'd share those! :-)
