A new film?

After John Woosley's "Angel of Music" I doubt there can be good adaption of Leroux's novel without good budget.
But I found that some enthusiastic people are filming the movie about Erik:

This is interesting. A lot better than that 'Angel of Music' crap. But there are some shots that don't make much sense. (Erik? hobbling around in the day time with a cane? And, why does Christine have brown hair if its Leroux based?)

Did the Raoul remind anybody else of the cartoon Raoul? I swear, he's the spitting image of the guy!

It'd be interesting to see more. Makes me want that Jeremy Irons Phantom film to have actually happened.

Every time I think about that Jeremy Irons movie, I wish it had happened!

I have to say, the acting doesn't impress me much, but at least the film seems to have made with real affection for the story. It's already leaps and bounds above Angel of Music. Though, with that name, they seem to be trying to avoid falling under the regular "Phantom of the Opera" label.
