Re: Spam. Spam, I tell'ya!
I checked and he has started. Dianne Pilkington (previously Glinda in Wicked) starts on 26th April. Will definitely have to check it out at some point. My mum really likes the film so I think I'll take her.
I didn't realise there was also a UK tour.

It was the UK tour I was supposed to see. My parents saw it and enjoyed it.

OK. So who just outbid me on a pair of Christine Masquerade-ish style Peter Fox boots? I got sniped in the last three seconds. Fess up!
I know, it's not like it's sure to be someone from here. If it was though, congrats on the win.
If you're customizing them for a costume, I hope they turn out well.

Re: Spam. Spam, I tell'ya!
Started a new, full-time job Tuesday in my field, working under my good friend. It's something I've been very excited about, both to be working at what I trained to do, what I want to do, and to be working full-time for pretty good pay. I'm having fun so far.

Congratulations on getting the job Swanky!
Re: Spam. Spam, I tell'ya!
I got a book out from the library about the Great Sphinx...not sure if it's just a lot of pseudo-mystic speculation or well-researched speculation yet because I'm only a couple chapters into it, but the pictures are very cool...especially old views of the Sphinx when the sand still buried it to its neck.
Anyhow, there was a slip of paper in it...I'm the sort who always peeks at papers left in library books, though they're never interesting. This was a check-out slip from another library in the Upper Hudson Valley network and there was a name handwritten on it...I was because it was actually someone I knew...my music teacher from 4th grade. It's not a common name so it HAS to be the same guy.

Wow! What are the odds of that? That's really cool.

Re: Spam. Spam, I tell'ya!
Had a pretty funny dream a few nights ago...in it, I'd finally convinced my partner James to come see Phantom on Broadway with me. We had very good front mezz seats, too. He loved the Overture (in real life, he at least likes that), but didn't last through "Think of Me" before he vanished to the restrooms and didn't come back. At intermission, I found in asleep in the lobby. The Phantom was John Cudia, I believe Christine was Claire Moore, and I have NO idea who Raoul was...but he was very good and *very* cute. No idea played most of the others...except Sarah Brightman was Madame Giry.
Everything in the show was very normal...until "Masquerade." The song was replaced...with the cast singing "The Safety Dance" with the original choreography slightly tweaked to match.

i had a dream that erik came to my brothers birthday party and cut down some random chandelier hanging from the ceiling, then he set all the decorations on fire. then frankie muniz came, and i asked erik for his autograph. I actually thought all of this was really happening.

does anyone know what genre of Erik i should use for my halloween Costume?
oh, i don't know where to post this on this site, but i figured it would be best to put it here, i found Kristina Nilsson's real husbands, i know already about Casa Miranda, And I think he Is the Real raoul. here is a copied article....
Kristina married twice. Her first husband was a banker, August Rouzaud, who didn't want to see his wife on stage in Paris. She could sing wherever she wanted, but not in Paris. During that time Kristina appeared a lot in London and on tours. August Rouzaud eventually got mentally ill and was put in an asylum, where he used to climb the trees in the garden believing that he was a rising stock-market. He died in 1882 and in 1887 Kristina remarried. Her second husband was the Spanish count di Casa Miranda. They were married in the Madeleine church in Paris.
sorry i dont have the link, but it was so long i couldn't copy the whole thing. sorry.

When I was a senior, the meanest thing I ever did to freshmen was to tell them the school had a swimming pool on the third floor and watch them go hunting for stairs leading to the third floor. Except the school only had two floors....

No... Unfortunately, the freshmen get their own school.

Re: Spam. Spam, I tell'ya!
heh, That was a joke at my high school (not the pool part, but the third floor part.) It always failed though. My high school was in a very small town, so almost all incoming freshman were well aware that there were only two floors to the H.S. (Not to mention, just by looking at the building, it's obviously only two floors.)Paula74 wrote:Deathshead1 wrote:looking foreward to becoming a freshman! yeah, being spit on and kicked in the Hallways! OMG! I just found out that they were considering steve harley to be the original phantom, i saw that phantom music video, i am so glad they didn't choose him, it would have taken away the beuty of the show in my opinion!
Harley- " Seeengg OOuuunnce agin wuth meeeeeee, owww stwange deeewwwwweeeeeeeeeeeetttt, My powwwa ova YEW, Growwows stronga Yeeeeeeeettttttt!!!"
no comment on his singing.

Re: Spam. Spam, I tell'ya!
i hope i'm not making anyone mad by asking this, but is there anyone on this site besides me that believes Leroux was telling the truth, that Erik was real? Nobody so far has shown any sign of believing, but i do recall scorp i think saying that Leroux was saying it as a narrator, but the why is the prolouge tagline " In which THE AUTHOR certifies that the opera ghosh truly existed." not ,"the narrator." Not that anyone cares what i say after Jaques francois came Into the falls and i made a big deal about his hoax letter, but i do believe he " existed in flesh and blood." Leroux would have no reason to make that up, even to make it sound better, Stoker, Shelly, and Stevenson had no such introduction, and their books are at the top of horror classics. Not that anyone actually cares anymore, but i think it would have been amazing if it is all true. I want to do a full archaelogical search underground for something to do with erik, money is going to be no object when i am a fa,ous actor and author.
When i get older I'm Gonna move to big apple and try out for phantom!
BTW i just opened up my own "Phorum"

Watching Hitler and the Occult on NatGeo. I've always had an odd fascination with WWII.
I am horrified, sickened, saddened, disturbed and many other things by that point in history, and the fact that it happened less than half a century ago is so startling. Both of my grandfathers served during WWII... I wish they'd lived long enough for me to be able to ask them about it. What they did, and if they were able to say... what they saw.

I'm 22, and would you think that cyber threats from people I know in real life would... you know, stop? And perhaps be ignored. Not going to go into that much detail, but I'm afraid of some girl coming to my house and pretty much beating me up. I hope she's all talk. :/
And before you ask, yes, I am entirely innocent. She's crazy. Bat-Sh!t crazy, I should add.

:/ Well, whatever you do... don't open the door and if she starts acting all crazy on it do not hesitate to call the cops.

Sadly, it doesn't just go away. I've spent the past three weeks dealing with extremely abusive personal attacks on-line from a 28-year old. The fact that she is a blood relation (though one I haven't seen in about sixteen years) and that she is being put up to this by her 54-year old mother is even worse.
Re: Spam. Spam, I tell'ya!
So glad my AP scores came in the mail more quickly than my SAT scores, since it cost nothing to find out my SAT scores before they were mailed (they were available several weeks ago online and just came in the mail today). Can you believe you have to pay $8 to hear two numbers over the phone?

Re: Spam. Spam, I tell'ya!
My 14 year old Yorkshire Terrier has a collapsed trachea. It's been keeping my family up all night, and has reduced my mother into tears. It's sad, but it's either an operation which may or may not work or euthinasia.
It's hard because I grew up with her all my life. :/ So now I feel like curling into a little ball and crying. People can say whatever they want about dogs, but my dog is a real member of the family. I don't want her to keep on hurting, but I still want to make sure it's not the outcome that it may be.
