Angel of Music
I just found this on Amazon Prime. I'm only about five minutes in and it's...um...well
It's quite low-budget which, in itself, is not always a bad thing. The premise is that a modern researcher (I guess he's a journalist) is delving into the truth - that Leroux's work was non-fiction. There are climsy shades of "The Da Vinci Code" here in that a "Cult" was spawned to protect the "bloodline" of Christine Daae. The protagonist's girlfriend is an opera singer named...oooh...Kristin (and played by the same actress who plays Christine in flashbacks).
Oh, and the researcher is named Eric.
I know I'm going to regret watching this. This is worse than some of the films I had to sit through at the Hoboken International Film Festival.
