Who came up with the term "the glorified sunburn" for the Gerik?
Hi! Me again. Does anyone, by any chance, know who originated the description of the Gerik's deformity as "the glorified sunburn", and if there's still an extant url that'd work as a source for it? Thanks! Am source-hunting for an essay. And I know I've read it called that all over the internet, but I've never heard who started it/where/how it started!

I can't say it actually originated there, but I do know the term was definitely used very early on at the now-defunct PFN (phantomfans.net)

:-) Thanks Paula! I first came across the term on Fanfiction.net, but that was so long ago I don't remember in which story/review/note/etc,. And I don't know if it originated there or was imported from elsewhere. :-) And, although I didn't end up referencing it in this essay, I'd love to find an attribution for it for future reference!

I'd always seen it referred to as "the third-degree sunburn" or some variation on that when people mentioned it in Phan forums back in the day. "Glorified sunburn" was likely someone's individual take on that name.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it originated with the Phantom Reviewer. He made the comment in his review of the Gerard Butler film version
