Avatars, anyone?
Just because...
My current one is me almost dying of joy, holding a Don Juan goblet in front of the Don Juan table. It was stored in the wings of Det Ny Teater in Copenhagen, and Josefine was kind enough to take a picture of me (AKA the stage manager was kind enough to let us do it). I have edited out lots of wires and stuff in the background, but I was actually there, posing like that, smiling that... silly. Ha-ha! The yellow thing over my right arm is not bad editing, it's one of the flower ranks from the "il Muto" ballet.
What's your avatar? Any story behind it?

Re: Avatars, anyone?
My avatar is tied to my love of genealogy, and is a sister of one of my paternal great-great grandfathers. Her name is Marie Aurelia Hibbard, and she was a college graduate and professional woman -- a teacher and school principal for more than 40 years. I was able to get photocopies of some of her journals (which had been donated to a nearby historical society), and I learned that in spite of her no-nonsense exterior, she had a very romantic side as well.

LOVE that story, HDK.
Mine is probably my favorite MOTN photo from Hugh's time as The Phantom. I'd posted the picture at POL not long before it went down. The *le sigh* is just a little swoony silliness.

Mine is simply one of the first graphics I ever made when I was first learning about such things. I liked it and kept it, have always used it on Phantom boards. The other one I made is a Phantom mask on a grey sheet-music background. I'll use that one occasionally as well.
Re: Avatars, anyone?
Mine is the awesome Davis Gaines, made from a wallpaper someone else had made. I believe the original photo that person used was of Gaines at the organ for his Broadway run (or possibly his short run in the 2NT).
Re: Avatars, anyone?
Mine is the incredibly sexy Ian Kinsler. I think I'm going to have to change it after tomorrow, though, since that's when they play their last game.

Re: Avatars, anyone?
My new one is a lovely old promo shot of Sarah Brightman and Steve Barton, obviously. I was starting to feel a bit silly having an avatar with my own face staring back at me. I'll probably go back to something Fans Week-related in the near future, but I need a break from looking at myself (as I'm sure you all do as well).
Re: Avatars, anyone?
I like to change my avatar fairly regularly. So while Great-great Aunt Marie Hibbard is there now, she'll probably be replaced down the road. With the holiday season approaching, don't be surprised to see jingle bells and winter scenes popping up on mine.

I'm a regular av changer, too. And I loves me some Les Miz...so, at the moment, it's my favorite Jean Valjean.
Re: Avatars, anyone?
I change my icon. A. Lot.
Currently, I have one of Frank N Furter from Rocky Horror. Not only is it awesome, I'm currently stage manager for a regional production of the show.

Re: Avatars, anyone?
I've had mine for a while, even back on POL. 'Tis a lovely shot of Ian Jon Bourg and Janine Kitzen, from the Stuttgart production.
As an aside, I love how the site lets us have bigger avatars.

I'm in a changing mode too...
This time my avatar shows Tomas "Tomas!" Kofod sporting a big, fat Christine tattoo on his shoulder.

Re: Avatars, anyone?
Changed mine. It's from the 1926 version of The Scarlet Letter. Good film, but I fairly died from laughing when her husband showed up on her doorstep. His face just screamed "honey, I'm home" (hence the text).

Mine is the toon-ifed picture of the OLC Press Shots. ;D
I love Steve Barton and Sarah Brightman in Phantom together. It's truly scary. >.< [Or the fact I love Steve Barton in general?] Anyway, I thought because I'm the owner of the picture, I'm allowed to make an icon. ;D

Re: Avatars, anyone?
I've just needlessly changed my icon to a rather hot picture of Sara Jean Ford enjoying her own company.
(This post will sound far more scandelous after I've changed it again and nobody remembers what this avvy actually looked like.)

Yes that will sound rather scandelous. Love the avatar. She certainly seems to be enjoying herself

The treasure of my life, my mare Luna. The sweetest, most gentle and adorable horse a girl ever had.

Yeah, isn't she? We had our Christmas celebrations at the stables last night and they did a Phantom Pas de Deux. (To the Austrian recording of POTO) It got me into Phantom again. :geek:
