I'm currently on vacation in France, and Paris will be my last stop before flying home. I'll be staying at the Hôtel Imperial, which is walking distance from the Palais Garnier! Living every phan's dream hehe

If you get the chance, it's worth visiting the Musée d'Orsay museum, to see the large models of the Garnier. From the entrance, go down the stairs to the lower level, then just walk forward to the end of the hall where the models are.

I don't think I'll have time for the Musée d'Orsay, but I just booked a ticket to visit the Garnier

Enjoy! The areas open to the public are a bit limited if you're not there to see a performance, but fascinating nonetheless!

It was spectacular and SO much bigger than I imagined! And surprisingly a lot of it was open to the public, I even got to see the theatre.
