Anne Bachelier Illustrated bi-lingual Edition
Does anyone have this edition?
http://www.cfmgallery.com/Anne-Bachelier/Anne-Bachelier-Books/Anne-Bachelier-Phantom-of-the-Opera-Book.html
It's one of those high art limited edition books; the first editions even have original paintings/drawings included and are priced in the thousands of dollars. The Deluxe editions are $300, Regular editions $145.
I love the gorgeous, surrealistic artwork (Bachelier gets major props for making a painting of Meg and Madame Giry!). If you click here http://www.cfmgallery.com/Anne-Bachelier/Anne-Bachelier-Books/Anne-Bachelier-Phantom-Artwork.html you can see all the paintings that were included in the book, as well as rejected/unused paintings.
I kinda balk at the price, even for the lowly $145 level, but yeah, did anyone take the plunge and buy a copy? What edition did you get? What is the translation being used? Is it worth the money?

Wow! I've never seen this version before, but I agree that the illustrations are gorgeous. Not sure I'd pay that much for a copy, though...
By the way, happy belated birthday to Monsieur Leroux! (At least I was on time on Facebook. )

Those illustrations are awesome! I love them. Pity the book is so expensive, though.

Except his hair being really short and red in colour that is one of the closest things I've ever seen to how I picture Raoul, especially when in masquerade thread in rpgs, where he usually wears a similar outift.

Hello Deathshead1. You can buy the book on that website that is linked in the original post. Prices start at $145 and go upwards based on the edition.
