I knew about Florence from pictures in magazines but I never tried her music - until now. I think I may have to become a fan. She's got a lovely voice, a distinctive aesthetic, and great tunes.

Flo is wonderful.

If you like Flo, you should listen to Immi. I saw her in concert last May and she *blew me away*. She not only sang exactly like how she does on her CD's, but she creates her own music right in front of you with her voice. (You could say a certain person from a certain movie used her technique for her own album...)

I felt it apropos in light of Adele's triumphant wins at the Grammy Awards last night:



I love this song and video so much. The audience - all ages and types - seem to be enthralled by her soulful performance.

Wow, that's great. Not quite as good as Rolling in the Deep or Someone Like You, the only other two of hers I'd heard, but she's quite a talent. I hope her voice holds up. I imagine she's always gonna have issues because she just naturally has a husky voice, and she goes all out with it (though I did notice slightly better technique last night, so she might be seeing a vocal teacher to better preserve her pipes). She also always seems to wear the same dress.

Edit: Didn't realize she also smokes. Stop it, girl!
