Re: Rare pictures 2
OK, Deserted Phans brain(s)... I've had these pictures in the file "unknown" for years. Now I'm trying to clean up a bit, and I would like to place them under the correct production/country. So... help?
"The kiss"... But who?
"Poto 18". SO helpful...
"Poto 12"...
"Phantom 18"...
"Phan 9". Tabless doublet... Japan?
"Nigheeeet". Wow. So helpful.
"Monkey". Ya don't say.
"Meg_chris". I've seen this one many times, but I really don't remember who it is.
"Kevin 1".
This one is awesome. Where is it from/who is it?
Very cool deformity. Kinda looks like West End, but I don't recognize the face at all.
Also awesome.

Re: Rare pictures 2
Awesome pics, most of which I hadn't seen before. I can't be of much service, but the first one kind of looks like the Canadian deformity, and the hand looks Colm-ish, so maybe him? That's just a wild guess though. Can't really help on the others. The last one looks maybe Spanish or Mexican.
Re: Rare pictures 2
It's not spectacularly helpful, I know, but the monkey in the first Auction shot looks a lot like the West End one.

Here's the only ones I've seen of Hugh and Marni.

Re: Rare pictures 2
Thank y'all for the help on the unknown photos! Glad to get a name of the different faces.
Here's pictures of a very little featured Christine; Danish Agnete Munk Rasmussen. She wasn't in the show all that long, I think we're talking January to April 2002, plus September to November 2003. So a bit more than half a year in total. Of the Christines I've seen and heard she definitely possess one of the grandest voices out there. Grand, full, at times even dramatic. I was a bit caught off guard back in 2002, when I was used to light sopranos in the role. But she's grown a lot on me. A lot. I wouldn't want all Christine to sound like her, but what a refreshing change!
Agnete Munk Rasmussen and Preben Kristensen in the First Lair.
Ditto. I adore her wig here. Only lightly curled underneath, as newer London wigs are, but unlike the London ones these curls actually stayed put. Very large and nice curls too. I like the original Danish wigs better than the 2009 ones. They were very curly, and somehow looked more modern.
One of my all time favourite Masquerade photos. With Tomas Ambt Kofod as Raoul. Tomas!
1. A closeup of the Masquerade one (they made it a closeup in the brochure, if I remember correctly).
2. Tomas Ambt Kofod, Agnete M.R and Preben Kristensen.
1. Don Juan Rehearsal. Piangi is Marcello Ronchietto, Carlotta is Karin Fridh.
2. Agnete M.R and Preben K. after their first performance together. I think it was Agnete's opening night.

Thanks for the pictures. I catched her once in 2002, Preben was the Phantom that night. She saved the night for me because.. because..
I don't like Preben.

Re: Rare pictures 2
Haha, I think most people have seen those pictures before, they've been around for a long time. Reblogging these without references wouldn't be too big a deal, as most picture hunters probably have them in their own stock already. I'm more grumpy if I spend hours scanning rare/large photos, or digging up something really rare, or even taking photos myself, and no credit whatsoever is given when people grab and share.TheFinnishPhantom wrote:Thanks for the pictures. How incredibly interesting that you saw AGM and Preben Kristensen! You see what I mean by her having a very grand voice? It's the fullest voice I've heard in a Christine. And she was quite feisty. As for Kristensen I saw him a couple of times back in 2002 and 2003, and I wasn't too keen on him either. But when I saw him again in 2009, I liked him a lot. It might be my preferences that has changed, but I felt the singing was more confident and the portrayal somewhat deeper. Or... sadder. So he climbed my list of favourites.
Very sad there aren't any new brochure photos of him from his second round, though. He could not make it for the photo shoot, I was told, so the brochure only featured Peter Jorde and Flemming Enevold.

Yup, her voice just filled the auditorium. Not my favourite Christine-voices, but as I said, she was the high point in the night for me. And for the feistyness, I just adored her in Final Lair. If I was the Phantom, I'd be terrified by the girl. I also enjoyed her reactions in the mirror scene, too adorable for words! Other than that, I really can't remember much of her.
As for Preben, I saw her again in 2009, with Mia Karlsson. He definetly wasn't that bad then, but I just can't enjoy his voice. His acting was pretty good though, a fantastic Final Lair (altough I got massive Uwe Kröger vibes from him, both being small Phantoms)
And I saw those pictures on my dashboard. Unfollowed!

Re: Rare pictures 2
The rooftop set was discussed in another thread. I commented on how the set never translate well into photos. It really doesn't. But I like these ones still; best ones I have of the rooftop scene. I also love that the moon is only indirectly present, though the "moonshine" lighting and the colour of Christine's cloak.
"Apollo's lyre", set piece from Las Vegas.
1. Kristi Holden and (I wanna say) Andrew Ragone, Las Vegas ca. 2011.

4. Colby Thomas and Ray Gabbard, Hamburg ca. 1995.
5. Anne Görner and Nikolaj Brucker, Essen ca. 2006.
Original or very early Broadway photo, ca. 1988.

lol, there is a really nice photo of him in the toronto brochures but it is very small, I wish there was a larger size (and not just a scan that was blown up and you see all the dots), He is just stanting there, not hat, and gesturing with a smirk on his face.

Re: Rare pictures 2
He has that odd but cute smile in all the photos from Canada. But I know which one you mean. First on second row underneath, right? I would love to see a bigger unpixeled version as well. It seems they only did a photoshoot of the First Lair for the brochure, with him and Sylvia Rhyne. The rest of the brochure doesn't feature him. Anyway, for your enjoyment:justin-from-barbados wrote:lol, there is a really nice photo of him in the toronto brochures but it is very small, I wish there was a larger size (and not just a scan that was blown up and you see all the dots), He is just stanting there, not hat, and gesturing with a smirk on his face.

I love that mirror picture too. Deborah Dutcher and JOJ? Or Scott Davies? Too lazy to check my brochures...
Here's a bunch more from Canada, plus some from the 2008 West End brochure. Just because.
1. Simon Bailey in the manager's box.
2. Gina Beck being cute. Oh Gina!
3. Degas ballerinas.
4. Peter Karrie.
5. Colm Wilkinson.
6. Ciarán Sheehan.
7. Meg from the 1997 Toronto brochure with Ethan Freeman and Sylvia Rhyne. Who is she? The Meg, I mean?
8. Used both in the 1996 and 1996 Toronto brochure. Because of the former I'm thinking Glenda Balkan?
