The opera world (and Australia) has truly lost a legend. When I went to the Opera House in Sydney, they had a painting and a small sampling of her stuff and I was amazed! She was a beautiful voice and from what I hear a beautiful person, inside and out. It's tragic that after fighting for so long, her illness finally won.

On NPR they had a touching tribute to her, she was a force, I was in awe of hearing when she and Leontyne Pryce sung they got a 15 minute ovation and that was just the first song
