Re: So... Phansonline?
Huh? Already? That was quick... I hope it's a temporary thing, there's still stuff over there I didn't get to save. Josefine's 100th show in Copenhagen in particular!
Re: So... Phansonline?
I was able to access them early yesterday...then they went *poofles* again. And, of course, I didn't get around to saving anything as planned.
Re: So... Phansonline?
Is POL gone for good now? These days, it doesn't even try to load the page, but goes straight to "This page cannot be found". Or is it just me?

Not just you.
Re: So... Phansonline?
Mind browser still tried to load the page, but I've given up hope that it will pop up again, at least anytime soon. For a while I was checking to see if it was mysteriously back up again every couple of days, but until you mentioned it, I think it had been a month since I checked.

Re: So... Phansonline?
Dead forever now, I reckon.
To be honest, I like here better (partially because I'm not banned here (yet) ).
I rather had the feeling about POL, in that last year, that the owner would rather have done away with it anyway (or maybe didn't have the time/ resources for it anymore). Perhaps the creation of this board allowed it to die a natural death.
There were a few other websites, like www.emergingmarkets.co.uk and www.nathaneme.co.uk hosted on the same server as POL for a while. They had the same admin as POL and got moved off shortly before it finally died, but POL seems to have missed the boat...

Re: So... Phansonline?
I came upon this place after looking for POL. Really makes me sad to see it gone, it was such a fun place.

Re: So... Phansonline?
I agree, so much history there. A bit sad Chris decided to move all his other sites, but not POL. But glad you found this place!
Re: So... Phansonline?
YAY! I'm glad I found you all even though most probably won't remember me. I went by the username, meg-giry and I think I had signed up over on phansonline but I may not have been a regular over there. Does anyone know what happened to WanderingAngel and PoshRose? I was writing WanderingAngel for awhile. They live in New Zealand.
I've missed you guys!

Re: So... Phansonline?
Thanks blueroses for the link. :-) I've gone by the same name for years and at POL. Although, at POL I was not a regular user as work came first. Since my work schedule is not nearly as hectic now, I was looking to get back into reading POL. Imagine my surprise when I discovered it was no longer there. Glad to see though that another place has been created.

Hi there! Glad you found us... I think I may remember you from the old PFN -- are you the same meg-giry who was there?
And yeah, I haven't heard from WanderingAngel or PoshRose in ages either... They were both on the (now defunct) Tiki Lounge forum, but didn't seem to post often.
Re: So... Phansonline?
PoshRose had an account on potophans.com, too...though that place is very, very quiet now and she only posted a few times ages ago. But her PM alerts might go to an address that's still valid.

Yup. That was me. I used to try and organize all those little fan recordings that never took off...the Woman in White. You probably remember that.
Thanks for that info.

Yup. Sorry it never worked out. I recall having a hard time getting people to audition and then when I finally did get a cast, no one was around to record.

Yeah, I always wanted to do those recordings, but it was hard to find time because I was in college and couldn't record when I was in my dorm.blueroses wrote:Ohhh, now I remember you. I tried out for that WIW project.

Re: So... Phansonline?
This is completely OT and I'm being rude and interrupting, but blueroses, you don't happen to be a Tennessee Williams fan do you? I ask because of your username...

Re: So... Phansonline?
I wondered what happened to POL. I came back to phandom recently, and last year I tried to sign up at POL again because my old login didn't work (lost in one of the board crashes, I guess), and then I saw a link to this place elsewhere.
So um hi. No one remembers me, but that's okay, I mostly lurk.

Thanks! I think it might have been your post I noticed that led me here, operafantomet.
I see a bunch of familiar names as I'm browsing the posts, too.

Re: So... Phansonline?
It's been a while, but I have finally found my way over here as well. I recognize most of the names still, which just tells you how much time I used to spend on PFN, MFN, and even a little POL.
Hoorary for DPN.

I just found this board as well. I'm so glad I did because I missed the latest Phantom gossip and wanted to hear what phans thought about all this news on the sequel. Thanks for creating this forum!
