Webs (Freewebs)
Anyone using the free service Webs (previously Freewebs)?
My site has been offline/gone for 24 hours now, and it seems ALL Webs sites are offline. Should I stay tuned for updates, or be worried?
Or can anyone else access it?

Re: Webs (Freewebs)
OK, found Webs on Facebook, and apparently their whole system is offline. Which is a BIT comforting. They haven't said WHY, though (at least I couldn't find any specific info), and they don't give any info on when it will be back either...

ETA: seems to be back up now. Apparently some fiber cable that needed to be replaced. Whatever...

Terrific. >_>
I'm glad I saw this thread before I tried to go to Little Meg, though, or I would have been spazzing.

Speaking of which, when will you put the Meg image gallery online?
Re: Webs (Freewebs)
As soon as I can either find a better sort of gallery or tweak Photobucket more to my liking. And as soon as I have some time to actually upload all my new pictures.operafantomet wrote:phantomgirl110 wrote:Terrific. >_>

I didn't realize anybody was waiting (or that anybody even realized it was down). I'll try to get on that soon for you, if I have a chance.

What don't you like about Photobucket?phantomgirl110 wrote:As soon as I can either find a better sort of gallery or tweak Photobucket more to my liking. (...)
If it's that it'll send you to their web site for each picture you click on, you can remove that. If you have a lot of pics, it' a helluva job, but it's do-able. Select the picture, click on "Generate HTML and IMG pictures", and choose the HTML link. It will look something like this:
<a href="https://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v323/reiseaudun/?action=view¤t=hayleydriscollmeg.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v323/reiseaudun/th_hayleydriscollmeg.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" ></a>
Remove these:
?action=view¤t=
border="0" alt="Photobucket"
To make the link look like this:
<a href="https://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v323/reiseaudun/hayleydriscollmeg.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v323/reiseaudun/th_hayleydriscollmeg.jpg"></a>
In effect, it gives you this picture (click to enlarge):
Re: Webs (Freewebs)
Oh, I know how to do all that. To be honest, as stupid a reason as I know this will seem, it really irks me that the thumbnails aren't all the same size (or don't at least have the same height). It's a little thing to most people, but my OCD is very annoyed by it. So I'm either trying to get past that (both by trying to work around it and trying to just get over my own oddities) or find someplace else with a look that works better for me. I'm thinking of maybe trying Flickr instead, but we'll see.
In the meantime, the old (oooold) galleries are still accessible here and here, if anyone cares. Navigation's on the left side.

Re: Webs (Freewebs)
Ah, OK. And I agree. When I made the costume galleries, I had to cut a couple of pictures (so they were taller than they were broad) to get all thumbnails to be of the same heights. Don't care too much about the width, but I agree that they should have a system making all thumbnails of the same size.
Maybe you should suggest it for them?
