Legal stuff: music videos, TV performances, officially released DVDs etc.... NOT bootlegs, people!

Dying of laughter.... A Russian couple singing the POTO title song in the style of Brigthman and Harley. Heavy Russian accent, overacting o'hoy and kitsch de luxe. I don't know if it's so bad it should be deleted from the surface of the earth, or so bad it's highly amusing...

That red glittery outfit.... affraid The peacock hat.

Wow! That was uh...Not sure what to say. I'm speechless. Shocked

In some strange way I like the way it was filmed(other than that red outfit.). It's very cheesy though. Smile I've heard them before in their own language and they sounded better than here.

Hilarious cheers affraid What a Face ! I don't quite understand the story in the video though. Two people in fancy hats sing about a Phantom that neither of them seem to be in any contact with. And the boy... Why was he there?

Don't got the idea about the kid either. Maybe HE was the Phantom? Laughing

OK...so boy goes out sledding, flips his sled, and ends up in some sort of strange fantasy where people dress...er...strangely and sing stuff from musicals? Makes lots of sense...or not.

I do like the necklace that the lady is wearing around 3:20 or so.

Yeah I'm trying to figure out the storyline too. Quite strange. The boy seems to be signing at the beginning and then when he returns he speaks. Has has a key and is looking for a doorway. Did he somehow unlock his voice?

If it's any indication of the quality of this music video, my cat jumped up into my lap while I was watching and sat staring at the computer screen with a total WTF look on his face until it was finished. Although I suppose it's sort of a compliment that they managed to keep a cat entranced for three minutes...

WTF?!? What was up with the vocals at the end? And that kid? And the sledding?? And those two singers who changed into new costumes every 10 seconds - none of which really clarified anything??? Possibly the weirdest vaguely POTO related video I have ever seen. Ever. Shocked

Anybody in the mood for another foreigner singing POTO music very badly and very strangely? Meet Kandy Chen.

Compared to hers, Emmy's "Think of Me" cadenza sounds really quite good...

Introducing the delights of the Coney Island Waltz:

Not delighted? What a surprise.

Notice how an elephant is getting electrocuted at 2:43? Well, why not let YouTube know? Click Flag -> Violence -> Animal Abuse and report both videos.

While I'm neither here nor there with the sequel, that does really get to me that they used that in the video. It not being included would have made absolutely no difference to it.

I think that this video is already creepy enough with that music, I can't see why we also have to see that poor elephant getting electrocuted. I haven't noticed this in the video before since I've never cared for watching the whole thing through but that kind of amusement is not of my liking and I really feel that I want to write to them and complain. Ramin getting his head cast for the LND disfigurement:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCO1LdIkefU

This leads me to believe they're going to further break with continuity and drastically change the deformity's design for the sequel.

I don't find anything in the Coney Island video offensive--it's history. They treated animals and humans poorly there and other places in that time period. That's part of the point: Coney Island was a glitzy destination for people all over the world, the Vegas/Disneyland/Ripley's Believe It or Not of its day. There was the bright side but also an underbelly.

I believe that's footage of a very early film, The Execution of An Elephant. Topsey had become very violent and had killed at least three people (though, in at least one situation, it was a trainer who had been very abusive). Electrocution was suggested as a more humane way of killing the elephant than hanging it (the original idea). They fed the elephant cyanide-laced vegetables, then electrocuted before 1,500 witnesses at Luna Park. Edison preserved the whole electrocution on film and it was shown around the country.

Gruesome, but also a somewhat famous part of Coney Island's history.

The 5000th performance in Japan was celebrated with one of the most epic curtain calls ever.

Very, very cool! That was really creative! Better than wheeling out a cake and handing out flowers - not that that isn't fun too, just saying it's nice to have a little musical montage instead Cool

It was kinda weird watching them do the choreography from Masquerade without the staircase, and in their other costumes... definitely cool to see, but just strange to see!

I thought the same! It was especially odd to see the Phantom, in his regular tailcoat and mask, do the Masquerade choreography... But yeah, I wish more would adapt such a curtain call at the big events. Sure, we all like cake and flowers, but we like goofy auctionéers and more singing a lot more, oui?

I'm not sure if these have been seen or not. It appears that the cast in London are having a bit of fun with each other and sharing it with the world on YouTube.
