I'm going to have to be more careful with my Precious. I had it sitting a little too close to a heating vent and the soft plastic didn't react well. Now there are a few raised dots (kinda like goosebumps) around it that I'm pretty sure weren't there before.

Ooh, I forgot about my signed Michael Crawford picture! It says, "To Becky - with love, Michael Crawford." The funny part of this "personalized" autograph is that I actually bought it off of eBay! I got it for a pretty low price, too, as it seems there weren't many MC fans named Becky searching around eBay at that time. Smile

So while I don't own anything nearly as crazy awesome as a stage show costume (you lucky ducks Razz) the Phantom artwork (couple Robert Heidel and Bradley Parrish prints) I've collected would be a priority; which reminds me, I still have to get my Parrish 'Enchanted' print framed up...

I'd also want to save this OOAK life sized Lon Chaney Red Death bust:

Probably would also want to rescue my two huge window display photos of Rick Hilsabeck and Teri Bibb in MotN, and of Leila Martin (Madame Giry) and Gary Mauer (Raoul) post-Masquerade. Smile

But hey, if anyone has a stage-used Madame Giry cane (or costume) for sale, Let Me Know! Very Happy

A Madame Giry cane would be too awesome! Actually, I mostly just want to see if I'd be able to lift the thing. Razz

Hah! Having handled the Vegas one, I don't think they're actually super heavy. The shafts are supposedly made of pool cues and the handles are some kind of molded resin I think. That being said, I can imagine that hauling one around for a while would kinda take a toll on your wrists. Ow.

Here's what the setup at my place looked like about a year and a half ago. I've got another costume to display, but it needs a mannequin first before it can come out to play. Plus, when Red Death is finished for real, it'll need some space and a mannequin too.

Hey Bryan, I see you have a spare fedora and tailcoat, and a couple spare masks. Mind sharing them with a phan who's sorely (aka - completely) lacking in show-worn costume pieces? Very Happy

Brilliant display. I especially love how you used the Think of Me scarf as a swag treatment for the big boat scene picture.

And hey, are those Master Replicas Star Wars lightsaber hilts I see?

There are no "spares". And yes, those are MR lightsabers.

I don't have too many Phantom possessions. Just a few t-shirts, a poster from Vegas, a water globe and music box, a Christmas ornament, and a few other things... I think, if I had to grab anything in a fire, I would grab my autographed program or, much as I hate it since it got laughed at by the judge at competition, my wire sculpture, since those are the most irreplaceable of all my possessions.

I guess the Vegas one might have been made lighter than Broadway's. I picked up the one from the Majestic and that definitely had some heft. I sort of recall the assistant stage manager saying that the actress is told to alternate which hand she holds it with every week or two to prevent wrist problems.

The cane does seem to have some weight to it. It's possible that I wasn't holding it long enough to really feel the strain. I'm making my cane replica out of a pool cue, too, though, so once that's all done I'll have more time to practice carrying the thing. Smile

My prized possessions are my Kelly Jeanne Grant autograph and hand written note. And my Phantom poster that's so huge it takes up the whole half of my wall, it was used as an advertisment at one of the bus stops in my state. I will post pics when I can. Very Happy

You guys are SO lucky I've turned over a new leaf and the Dirty Old Phan in me went into retirement.

R.

PS: Seriously. SOOOO lucky.
PPS: You can't IMAGINE how lucky you are right now.
PPS: I mean, you could take how lucky you imagine you are, multiply it by a google, double it, and then throw that number out the window because it STILL wouldn't be a FRACTION of how lucky you really are.

I'm sooooo glad you contributed to Josefine's and mine mockumentary before you went into retirement... Laughing Josefine saw it in context for the first time this weekend, and we both love it, tee-hee-hee.
