I was so happy when I got this children's book for Christmas. (What, 18 year olds can enjoy them too!) Anyone else ever read this one?

It's a large hard-cover book, with illustrations of the story with, you guessed it, cats. It features a heavily shortened retelling of the story with suprisingly complex vocabulary for it's length and targeted age. (It will do children's brains some good.)

Of course, the ending is abrupt and made me laugh. But otherwise. Any other thoughts?

Welcome to Deserted Phans.

I don't have that book yet but I've seen it and thought the illustrations looked good. I'm thinking of getting it the next time I find a copy on sale, especially now after your mini review. I'm far past being 18 and I still have a few picture books that I've kept for their illustrations. Very Happy

I actually found my copy of this at a thrift/ consignment store! It's a rather "cute" version for children in learning about "The Phantom of the Opera." The illisturations are (I personally feel -- then again, I am a budding artist myself, with the utmost respects for fine art in children's literature) fairly well done. Comically done (meaning comic book style, I personally believe) but they still are fairly well done for this perticular style.

That's just my 2 cents worth!

I love this book! I had it but I don't know if I still have it. I moved a couple of times and either ended up having to throw some phantom merch out (because it had serious mold on it from my old unhealthy apartment), and having to store some in boxes at my parent's and now in the garage at home with my husband. I'd love to locate this if I still have it or buy it again, it's a great book for kids!
